We have to have to be strategic about what we put in the sensory table at the library. We have carpeting and our Ready to Read Center isn't constantly supervised by staff. This month we have cotton balls. It's not the same kind of fill and dump experience kids might get from a bin of rice, but I try to make it fun.
I made a snowman bucket out of a clear two liter bottle and some duct tape.
I painted letters on felt "snowballs" and made an "I Spy" challenge
to find the first letter of their name.
A few dollar store polar bears finish our Winter Wonderland.
